1. Acceptance and who we are
cohero is operated by Fenkil Technologies LTD. These Terms of Service govern your access to our platform, including browsing dreams, maintaining an account, using chat, publishing a dream and giving support. By using the service, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use it or initiate new transactions.
Read these Terms together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Community Guidelines, Backing & Gift Policy, Dreamer Rules, Membership & Billing Terms, Trust & Safety and Intellectual Property Policy. Those policies explain the relevant features and responsibilities in more detail. The Accessibility Statement describes accessibility information and how to raise an access concern.
Terms relating to a particular feature apply when you use that feature, even if you use the same account for other purposes. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Contact hello@coheroapp.com before proceeding if a material term or the effect of a payment is unclear.
2. Definitions and how the service works
A Dreamer is a person seeking money for a personal dream or goal, and a Backer is a person giving money to support a Dreamer. A dream is a published or draft description of that goal, divided into milestones whose amounts add up to the dream goal. One account may act as both Dreamer and Backer; the obligations attached to each action still apply.
A backing is the amount a Backer chooses to give, before the platform fee is deducted. A milestone is a defined step in a dream, supported by proof submitted by the Dreamer. Proof can include photos, documents and a description intended to help Backers decide whether to release the amounts allocated to that milestone.
Unreleased funds are amounts held by the platform for milestone review, after deduction of the platform fee, that have not yet been released to the Dreamer or returned to the Backer. A release is a Backer's approval to pay out that Backer's share for a milestone. A payout is payment of released money to the Dreamer; a return or refund of unreleased money is not a reversal of a completed release.
References to we, us and our mean Fenkil Technologies LTD; references to you mean the person using the service. References to platform escrow describe the milestone holding and release process, not a promise that a backing is insured, earns interest or has any investment protection. The specific release and return rules appear in the Backing & Gift Policy.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to accept these Terms and take the actions you request. Use your real identity, do not impersonate someone else, and maintain only one account per person. Do not create another account to bypass a restriction, a rejected dream or an enforcement decision.
Accounts use email and password sign-in. Provide accurate registration information, keep it current and protect your password and access to your email. You are responsible for activity you authorise through your account, but these Terms do not impose liability on you for unauthorised transactions where applicable law protects you.
Tell us promptly at hello@coheroapp.com if you suspect that another person has accessed your account or changed your details without permission. We may take reasonable protective steps, including temporarily restricting access while we investigate. Do not give another person access in a way that conceals who is operating the account or evades identity and safety checks.
Information requested for payment or payout checks must be accurate and supplied only through the appropriate channel. Do not send full card numbers, passwords or unnecessary identity documents in chat or dream descriptions. Our payment partner may require information to process transactions and satisfy its own legal obligations.
4. The nature and limits of our service
cohero is a platform for discovering and supporting personal dreams, including education, business, health, art, travel and home goals. Backers can browse or swipe through dreams, save them and communicate with Dreamers. We provide the platform and hold funds under the milestone process; Fenkil Technologies LTD is not a party to the gift between a Backer and a Dreamer.
We do not undertake to complete a dream, deliver a milestone, supervise a Dreamer's spending or guarantee the truth of every statement a user makes. Review, moderation, payment processing and milestone tools do not make us the Dreamer's agent, employer or business partner. A dream's appearance in the feed is not financial, legal, medical or professional advice or an endorsement of its prospects.
You should assess the description, milestone amounts, proof and communications before deciding to give or release money. Ask questions where information is unclear, and do not rely on assumptions about outcomes that the platform does not promise. A dream can fail or change even where the Dreamer acts honestly and reasonable steps have been taken.
We aim to provide reliable access but may change features, perform maintenance or experience interruptions. A technical interruption does not itself mean that a gift has been cancelled or a milestone approved. If an interruption affects a payment or review decision, contact support promptly so we can investigate the relevant records.
5. Backings are gifts and how fees work
Every backing is a voluntary, unconditional gift of support to the Dreamer, subject to the platform's holding and release process. It is not an investment, equity, shares, a loan, a purchase of goods or services, or a donation to a registered charity. The milestone process determines when held funds are released or returned; it does not convert the gift into a contract to buy an outcome.
- A Backer receives no ownership, profit share, interest, repayment entitlement or rewards in exchange for a backing.
- A Dreamer may send thanks or updates but has no obligation to deliver rewards. Neither party may use a dream to promise an investment return or disguise a commercial sale as a backing.
- Backings are generally not tax-deductible. Dreamers are responsible for understanding and paying their own taxes on gifts received, and Backers should obtain independent advice about their own tax position.
A 15% platform fee, also called the backer deposit fee, is deducted from every backing. You pay exactly the backing amount you choose; the fee is never added on top. The balance after that deduction is available for allocation across milestones, and the fee is non-refundable, including when unreleased money is returned, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
The minimum backing is $5, and there is no platform maximum backing. Payments are charged in US dollars (USD); amounts displayed in EUR, CNY or INR are approximate conversions for convenience, and your bank or card issuer may use its own exchange rate or charge fees. Review the Backing & Gift Policy and the checkout information before confirming payment.
Our payment partner handles card details, and cohero does not store full card numbers. Do not back with a payment method you are not authorised to use or use the platform to move funds unlawfully. A payment problem should be raised promptly with support; these Terms do not remove statutory payment-dispute rights.
6. Dreamer membership and billing
Backers can use the service for free without a Dreamer membership. Dreamers may create and prepare a private draft for free, but publishing a dream so that it is visible in the swipe feed requires an active monthly Dreamer membership at $29 per month. Paying for membership does not guarantee approval, funding, visibility to any particular person or successful completion.
Membership renews automatically every month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in your profile, and membership access continues until the end of the paid period. Partial months are not refunded except where required by law; the Membership & Billing Terms explain recurring billing and cancellation in more detail.
If membership lapses, the Dreamer's dreams are hidden from the feed. Existing Backers and chat partners can still see those dreams, and milestone reviews continue. Cancellation does not erase existing communications, cancel releases already made or allow a Dreamer to avoid responsibilities relating to existing backings.
We may change membership prices with advance notice, allowing you to consider the change and cancel before it applies to a future renewal. Read the notice and the relevant billing information rather than assuming that a displayed estimate in another currency sets the recurring price. Mandatory rights relating to renewal notices, cancellation and refunds continue to apply.
7. Dream publication and review
Every dream is reviewed by our team before it goes live. A dream progresses through draft, pending review, live or rejected status, and we may reject, hide or remove a dream that does not meet our rules. Do not represent a pending or rejected dream as approved, or treat payment of membership as permission to bypass review.
Dreamers must describe their goals honestly, identify meaningful milestones in order and ensure that the milestone amounts add up to the stated goal. Do not fabricate needs, claim credentials you do not hold, manipulate proof or omit information that makes the description misleading. The Dreamer Rules and Community Guidelines set out the applicable publication standards.
You must have the rights and permissions needed for material you upload, including images of other people and documents containing their information. Redact unnecessary personal information before submission and avoid exposing financial, medical or identity details that are not needed for review. A private storage link is not a substitute for permission to share the underlying content.
Review is a platform safety and suitability step, not independent verification of every fact, a guarantee of lawful activity in every location or a promise of success. We may seek clarification or reconsider a live dream after a report or new information. If you believe a review decision is mistaken, contact hello@coheroapp.com with the dream and relevant explanation; reconsideration does not guarantee approval.
8. Milestone holding, releases and returns
Money from each backing is held by the platform after the fee deduction and allocated across the dream's milestones in order. The Dreamer submits proof for a milestone, and milestones must be proven in order. Each Backer reviews that proof and either releases that Backer's share for the milestone or requests more information.
A release pays out the relevant money to the Dreamer and is final: released money cannot be refunded through the milestone process. Review the proof carefully before authorising release, because later dissatisfaction does not restore a released amount to the held balance. Other Backers make their own decisions; one person's release is not your approval.
If a Backer does not release a milestone within 14 days after proof was submitted, that Backer's unreleased money for that milestone and all later milestones is automatically returned, less the platform fee already retained. Requesting more information is not a release, and you should not assume that a conversation pauses or restarts this window. Monitor the relevant review information and raise technical issues promptly.
For example, if you have released earlier milestones but do not release the next milestone within the review window, your remaining held balance for that milestone and all subsequent milestones is returned. Money you already released is not included in that return, and the 15% fee deducted from the original backing stays with cohero. This distinction applies even if another Backer chooses to continue supporting the dream.
Administrators may return a dream's unreleased funds where appropriate, including fraud, a rules breach or abandonment by the Dreamer. Refunds go to the original payment method where possible. The Backing & Gift Policy governs this process in more detail; neither cancellation of membership nor deletion of an account entitles a user to recover money already released.
9. Communications and user content licence
You retain ownership of content you submit, subject to the rights of others. You grant Fenkil Technologies LTD a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, format, display and transmit that content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and provide cohero, including showing dreams and proof to the intended audience. This licence is not a transfer of ownership or permission to sell your private messages.
You authorise technical processing needed for the service, such as generating previews, delivering messages and serving uploaded media through expiring or signed links. Content visibility follows the feature involved: a published dream is intended for discovery, while proof and messages are shared in their relevant review or conversation context. Do not upload content you are not entitled to share for those purposes.
The licence lasts while content is provided through the service and, after deletion, only to the extent necessary for lawful retention, anonymised records and messages retained for recipients as explained in the Privacy Policy. Removing an account cannot guarantee removal of copies another user independently saved. Intellectual property complaints can be submitted under the Intellectual Property Policy.
Opening a chat with a Dreamer from a dream also saves that dream. Chat includes messages, typing indicators, online status and read receipts marked Seen. Users can block others to prevent messages and hide their dreams, and can report dreams, users or messages for team review; these tools do not authorise harassment or repeated contact through alternative accounts.
10. Prohibited conduct and reporting
Use the platform lawfully and respectfully, including when a dream disappoints you or a moderation decision is disputed. The Community Guidelines and Trust & Safety describe further expectations. We assess conduct in context, including its effect on other users, the integrity of payment and review systems, and the safety of the community.
- Do not commit fraud, impersonate anyone, submit fabricated proof, conceal material facts or misrepresent a backing as an investment, loan, purchase or charitable tax deduction.
- Do not harass, threaten, exploit, discriminate against or expose private information about another person. Do not send unlawful material, unwanted commercial messages or content that infringes another person's rights.
- Do not compromise accounts, introduce malicious code, bypass access restrictions, scrape private information or interfere with the platform's availability or security.
- Do not manipulate milestone approvals, misuse reports or blocks, arrange deceptive transactions, launder money or use another account to evade enforcement.
Use in-app reporting for a dream, user or message, or contact hello@coheroapp.com with a clear description and relevant evidence. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information or attempt to investigate through unlawful access. We review reports, but a report alone does not establish wrongdoing or guarantee a particular sanction, refund or response time.
11. Suspension, termination and account deletion
We may restrict features, hide content, suspend access or terminate an account where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, address fraud or safety concerns, comply with law or protect the service. Where appropriate we consider the seriousness, repetition and impact of conduct. Urgent protective action may be taken before notice when advance notice would undermine safety, an investigation or a legal obligation.
Where reasonably possible and lawful, we will explain the relevant restriction and allow you to provide information about a mistake. You may ask for review through hello@coheroapp.com, identifying the account or dream, the decision and the grounds for reconsideration. Do not try to avoid restrictions while a review is pending, and do not assume that an appeal automatically restores access.
You may request account deletion from your profile. A 30-day grace period follows, during which signing in and choosing keep my account cancels deletion. After that period the account and personal data are deleted, with necessary retained records anonymised or kept only as required by law as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Ending access does not reverse completed gifts, undo final releases or erase lawful accounting obligations. We may administer outstanding held funds under the Backing & Gift Policy rather than paying them out solely because an account is closing. Terms that by their nature must survive, including payment responsibilities, lawful retention, liability provisions and dispute provisions, continue to apply to relevant past activity.
12. Disclaimers and service availability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and without warranties that every feature will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for your particular purpose. We do not promise that a dream will reach its goal, that submitted proof will satisfy every Backer or that a user will act as expected. Do not give money that you cannot afford to give as a gift.
User content and conversations are provided by the relevant users, not as our professional advice. A review, notification or visible account status does not certify solvency, identity, competence or the legality of every underlying activity. You remain responsible for seeking independent advice where your circumstances require it.
These disclaimers do not exclude a warranty, duty of care, remedy or statutory standard that the law makes mandatory. We remain responsible to the extent required by applicable law for our own conduct. If local law limits a disclaimer, it applies only to the extent lawful rather than removing your protected rights.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Fenkil Technologies LTD is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business opportunities or loss of expected savings arising from use of the platform. This includes expectations about a dream's success, a Backer's future support or a benefit that was never part of the gift. Whether a loss falls within an exclusion depends on applicable law and the circumstances.
We are not responsible merely because another user makes a misleading statement, fails to complete a goal or disputes your assessment of proof. This does not excuse our own breach of a legal duty or remove remedies that the law requires us to provide. You should take reasonable steps to avoid preventable loss, including securing your account and notifying us of transaction errors promptly.
No provision excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, deliberate wrongdoing, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Mandatory consumer remedies take priority over inconsistent wording here. The finality of milestone releases describes the platform refund process and does not extinguish non-waivable legal claims.
14. Responsibility for third-party claims
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate Fenkil Technologies LTD for reasonable losses, costs and expenses resulting from a third-party claim caused by your unlawful conduct, infringement of another person's rights or material breach of these Terms. This may include a claim that you uploaded proof without permission or deliberately misrepresented a dream. This obligation applies only to the extent the claim is attributable to your conduct.
It does not require you to compensate us for our own breach, negligence or wrongdoing, or impose a liability prohibited by mandatory consumer law. We will notify you of a relevant claim where reasonably practicable, give you a reasonable opportunity to provide information and take reasonable steps to limit avoidable losses. Neither party should agree a settlement imposing obligations or admissions on the other without that party's consent.
15. Disputes between users
A disagreement between a Backer and Dreamer should be addressed respectfully through the available communication and milestone tools. Explain what is unclear and identify the relevant milestone or statement without threats, demands for an investment return or disclosure of private information. You may block contact or report misconduct without continuing a conversation you consider unsafe.
We may examine reports and platform records, request clarification and take action under our policies, including returning unreleased funds where appropriate. We are not a court or an arbitrator and do not guarantee that our review will resolve every factual or personal disagreement. Neither user can require us to recover money already released through the milestone refund mechanism.
Our role in moderation does not make us a party to your gift or a guarantor of another user's obligations. Users remain free to pursue rights available under applicable law, subject to legitimate privacy and procedural requirements. Do not publish allegations, evidence or personal details in a way that itself breaches law or our rules.
16. Governing law and disputes with us
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Fenkil Technologies LTD is registered. Courts of that country have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the service, subject to any mandatory right to bring proceedings in another competent court. Mandatory consumer protection rights of your home country are preserved.
Before bringing a claim, we encourage you to contact hello@coheroapp.com with the issue, relevant dates and the remedy you seek so that we can try to resolve it. This request does not impose compulsory arbitration, waive access to courts or prevent urgent relief. It does not suspend a legal filing deadline unless applicable law or a separate valid agreement provides otherwise.
Nothing here prevents you from contacting a competent regulator, consumer protection body or data protection authority. Where mandatory local law overrides a provision of these Terms, that law prevails for the affected issue. The remaining provisions continue to apply so far as they can operate lawfully.
17. Changes, translations and general provisions
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, legal requirements or safety practices. Material changes will be notified in the app or by email in advance, and continued use after they take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law. If you disagree, stop using the affected service and cancel any recurring membership; accrued rights and existing payment obligations are not automatically erased.
The service may provide English, Hindi, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese versions. The English version prevails if translations conflict, except where mandatory law requires a different result. If a translation seems unclear, contact us rather than assuming it changes the fee, gift or milestone rules.
These Terms and the applicable related policies set out the agreement for use of the service; they do not create employment, agency or a partnership between users and Fenkil Technologies LTD. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a permanent waiver. If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply to the extent legally possible.
You may not transfer an account or contractual responsibilities to evade identity requirements or restrictions. Any lawful transfer of our service responsibilities must respect applicable law and your protected rights. For questions about these Terms, an enforcement decision, accessibility or a legal concern, contact hello@coheroapp.com and provide enough information for us to locate the issue without sending passwords or full payment credentials.
