Step 1
Discovery and swipe
Every Dream on cohero appears as a full-screen card in the Discover feed. You swipe right to save a Dream you want to come back to, or left to pass. Saved Dreams are collected in your Saved list, so you can compare them calmly before you decide to back anything.
The feed only shows Dreams that our team has reviewed and approved, and only while the Dreamer's account is in good standing. Dreams from people you have blocked are never shown to you, and you never see your own Dreams in the feed.
Swipe right to save
The Dream goes to your Saved list and you can open its full page at any time.
Swipe left to pass
The Dream leaves your feed. Passed Dreams can be shown again later if you reset the feed.

Step 2
What a Dream card tells you
A Dream card is designed to answer the important questions at a glance. It shows a cover photo, a short title, the category, the city or region, how much has been raised and the total goal. Opening the card shows the Dreamer's story in their own words, photos or video, and the complete milestone plan.
The milestone plan is the heart of every Dream. The goal is split into milestones, and the amounts of all milestones always add up exactly to the goal. Each milestone describes what will be done and what proof the Dreamer will show when it is finished.
Story and media
Who the Dreamer is, why the Dream matters and what it will change.
Goal and progress
The total goal, the amount raised so far and how many milestones are complete.
Milestone plan
Each step with its own amount and description, in the order it will be delivered.
Step 3
Milestone-driven funding
When you back a Dream, you choose an amount and pay once. Your backing is a gift of support: you receive no shares, equity, interest or financial return. A platform fee of 15% is deducted from the amount you back, and the rest is the Dreamer's share. You never pay anything on top of the amount you choose.
Your backing is not paid out to the Dreamer straight away. It is split across the Dream's milestones and held for each of them. The money for a milestone can only be released after the Dreamer has shown proof for that milestone.
- Each backing is allocated to the milestones in order.
- The amount held for each milestone is visible on the Dream page.
- Nothing is released before proof is submitted.
Step 4
Proof and review
When a milestone is done, the Dreamer submits proof: a written update together with photos, video, receipts or documents that show the work. Milestones are proven in order, so an earlier milestone must have proof before a later one can be submitted.
Every Backer who supported the Dream is notified and reviews the proof. Each Backer decides for their own share. You can release your payment for that milestone, or ask the Dreamer for more information if something is unclear. The Dreamer can then add more proof.
- Release payment: your held share for this milestone goes to the Dreamer.
- Ask for more info: the Dreamer is notified and can add details or files.
- A milestone is complete when no Backer money is held for it any more.
Step 5
Backer protection and release of funds
You have 14 days from the moment proof is sent to make your decision. If you have not released a milestone within 14 days, the money you still have held for that milestone and every later milestone of the Dream is returned to you automatically.
Money you have already released belongs to the Dreamer and cannot be taken back. The platform fee of 15% covers the service and is kept in all cases, so a refund is the unreleased part of the Dreamer's share. Our team can also close a Dream and refund the remaining held money if a Dream breaks our rules.
Conversations, agreements and payments should always stay on cohero. That keeps a record we can review if something goes wrong, and it is the only way the milestone protection can work for you.
