What is cohero?
cohero is a platform where Dreamers share a goal split into milestones, and Backers discover those Dreams by swiping and support them with gifts that are released step by step after proof.
What is a Dreamer?
A Dreamer is someone with a goal who needs funding, such as a business, studies, health, a creative project or something for their community.
What is a Backer?
A Backer discovers Dreams in the feed and supports the ones they believe in, fully or partly, with the amount they choose.
Is backing an investment?
No. Every backing is a gift of support. Backers receive no shares, equity, interest or financial return.
For Dreamers
What does it cost to be a Dreamer?
The Dreamer membership is $29 per month and applies when your Dream is live in the feed.
Why must my milestones add up to my goal?
Backers release money milestone by milestone. When the amounts add up exactly to the goal, every part of the money has a clear purpose and proof.
How long does the review take?
Our team reviews every Dream before it goes live. Complete profiles, real photos and a clear milestone plan make reviews faster.
What happens if my membership lapses?
Your live Dreams are hidden from the feed until your membership is active again. Your drafts and data stay in your account.
For Backers
Do Backers pay a membership?
No. Backers pay no membership. You pay only the amount you choose to back.
Can I back anonymously?
Yes. Choose to back anonymously and the Dreamer will not see who you are. If you later open a chat with the Dreamer, your profile becomes visible to them.
What does Follow Dream do?
Following a Dream saves it to your list and keeps you updated on its progress.
Can I talk to a Dreamer before backing?
Yes. Open a chat from the Dream page to ask questions at any time.
Payments and milestones
What fees are there?
A platform fee of 15% is deducted from each backing. If you back $100, the fee is $15 and the Dreamer's share is $85. Nothing is added on top of the amount you choose.
When does the Dreamer get the money?
Backings are held per milestone. Money is released milestone by milestone, after the Dreamer submits proof and each Backer releases their own share.
What if I don't release a milestone?
You have 14 days from the proof to decide. If you don't release within that time, the money you still have held for that milestone and all later ones is returned to you automatically.
Can I get back money I already released?
No. Released money belongs to the Dreamer. Refunds only cover the unreleased part of the Dreamer's share; the platform fee is kept.
In which currency are prices shown?
Prices follow your language: US dollars for English and Arabic, euros for Spanish, French and Portuguese, yuan for Chinese and rupees for Hindi. Backings are charged in US dollars.
Safety and rules
How do you keep cohero safe?
Every Dream is reviewed before it goes live, money is held until proof is shown, and every Dream and profile can be reported. Our team acts on reports and can close Dreams that break the rules.
Can I block someone?
Yes. Blocking stops all messages both ways and hides that person's Dreams from your feed.
Why must payments stay on cohero?
Only payments made through cohero are protected by milestones and the 14-day review. Never send or accept money outside the app, even if someone asks.
How do I delete my account?
You can request deletion in your profile. You have 30 days to change your mind; after that your account is deleted.
