1. Who needs a membership
cohero is operated by Fenkil Technologies LTD. These Membership & Billing Terms govern the paid monthly membership used by Dreamers to publish personal dreams and goals on the platform. They apply alongside the Terms of Service and do not change the legal nature of a backing described in the Backing & Gift Policy.
A Dreamer is a person seeking support, and a Backer is a person giving support. One account may perform both roles, but only publishing as a Dreamer requires an active membership. Backers can browse and back dreams without buying membership, and giving does not itself enrol the Backer in a subscription.
Dreamers may create and prepare a dream as a private draft for free. Membership is required to publish a dream and make it visible in the swipe feed, not simply to explore a draft. Keeping a private draft does not promise that the dream will be accepted for publication when a membership is purchased.
You must be at least 18 years old and comply with the real-identity and one-person, one-account requirements. Purchasing membership does not waive these requirements or permit another person to publish through your account. If you use the same account to back others, those gifts remain separate transactions with their own milestone and fee rules.
Launch period and one-time free period. While payments are switched off for the launch period, Dreamers can publish without paying. A Dreamer's 30-day free period starts only when their first dream actually goes live in the swipe feed after review — not when the account is created, a draft is saved or a dream is submitted for review. Each person can receive only one free period: deleting and recreating dreams, or deleting and recreating the account, does not start a new one, and we keep a one-way coded version of the sign-in email for this purpose. Once payments are switched on, Dreamers who have not already started a free period are not offered one and the monthly membership applies; a free period that has already started runs until its end date.
2. Monthly price and currency
The membership price is $29 per month in the currency shown to you for membership billing. Membership has a fixed price for each supported currency: USD, EUR, CNY and INR. Review the applicable displayed price and currency before authorising the subscription rather than assuming that all currency prices are daily exchange-rate equivalents.
The placeholder $29 represents the price shown in the reader's currency, not an additional fee on top of another monthly amount. Your payment confirmation and subsequent billing records should be read with the price and currency presented when you subscribed. If the amount or currency is unclear, ask hello@coheroapp.com before proceeding.
Membership billing is distinct from backing payments. Backings are charged in USD, with certain other-currency displays being approximate conversions, while the membership price is set by currency as described here. Do not use a backing's displayed conversion to infer the amount or currency of your monthly membership charge.
If your financial institution converts a membership charge into another account currency, its exchange rate and charges may affect the amount on your statement. Such costs are set by that institution rather than by the membership price itself. Check with your provider if currency conversion or cross-border charges are relevant to your decision.
You authorise the price and applicable taxes disclosed in the payment process, together with the recurring billing described in these terms. We do not promise that a price will remain unchanged forever, but any future price change is subject to the advance-notice provisions below. A price displayed in an example or another user's account is not a substitute for reviewing your own subscription details.
3. What membership includes and does not include
An active membership gives a Dreamer the ability to publish a dream, subject to team review and the platform rules. Dreams describe a personal goal and divide that goal into milestones, with the dream goal equal to the sum of those milestones. Membership enables eligible publication; it does not buy a particular decision from reviewers.
Dreams pass through draft, pending review, live or rejected statuses. Every dream is reviewed by our team before it goes live, and we may reject, hide or remove dreams that do not meet applicable requirements. Payment does not entitle a Dreamer to bypass review, publish prohibited material or keep a non-compliant dream in the feed.
The platform supports milestone proof and review, messaging and relevant in-app notifications. A Backer may open a chat from a dream, which also saves the dream; available chat features include typing indicators, online status and read receipts. These features support communication but are not promises that another user will respond or provide funding.
Membership does not include a minimum number of views, matches, chats, Backers, gifts or completed milestones. It does not guarantee approval, continuous attention from other users or successful completion of a dream. Do not subscribe on the assumption that the membership fee will be recovered through future support.
The platform fee deducted from each backing is separate from membership. Paying membership does not eliminate that 15% fee, increase the gross amount of a gift or turn gifts into purchases or investments. The Backing & Gift Policy governs the holding, release and return of backing funds, independently of your subscription payment.
4. Automatic renewal and your authorisation
Membership renews automatically every month until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorise recurring monthly charges through our payment partner at the applicable price, subject to the disclosures made in the payment flow and any required notice of changes. A recurring payment is a membership charge, not an additional backing to your dream.
You do not need to approve each ordinary monthly renewal separately for it to occur under this authorisation. To prevent future renewals, use the cancellation control in your profile before the next renewal charge is processed. Stopping use, leaving a draft unfinished or receiving no backing does not itself cancel the subscription.
Keep your account and billing information accurate so that you can access cancellation controls and receive relevant notices. In-app notices and email communications may concern billing or material changes, but you should also review your own membership status and renewal information. Failure to read a message does not by itself revoke a valid recurring-payment authorisation.
If you believe a subscription was created without your consent, contact hello@coheroapp.com promptly and notify your payment provider as appropriate. We may need relevant transaction and account details to investigate, but you should never send full card numbers, card security codes or account passwords. Mandatory rights relating to unauthorised charges are not restricted by these terms.
5. Billing date and the monthly service period
The initial payment starts the paid monthly membership period, and recurring billing follows the monthly renewal schedule associated with the subscription. Review the billing date and period shown in your membership or payment information. Do not assume that a month means a fixed number of days or that every renewal falls on the first day of a calendar month.
Calendar months differ in length, and payment processing can affect when a charge appears on your statement. The billing information for your subscription is the appropriate reference for the next renewal rather than a calculation based solely on when your bank posts a charge. Contact hello@coheroapp.com if the displayed renewal information and a payment record appear inconsistent.
Cancellation does not shorten the paid period already purchased. Subject to compliance with the platform rules, access continues until the end of that paid period, after which the membership lapses unless renewed. A subscription cancelled shortly after renewal therefore normally remains active for the rest of that monthly period.
Keep your cancellation confirmation and payment records so that you can identify which service period a charge covers. If you believe a charge relates to a renewal after effective cancellation, provide the cancellation details and transaction reference to support. We will review the issue rather than treating every disputed renewal as a request for a discretionary partial-month refund.
6. Payment methods and our payment partner
Subscription payments are processed through our payment partner using the methods made available in the payment flow. A method's availability may depend on the transaction, currency or the provider's requirements. We do not promise that every card, account or payment option will be accepted for recurring membership billing.
You must use a payment method that you are authorised to use and provide accurate billing information. Our payment partner handles card details, and cohero never stores full card numbers. The Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information connected with account and payment administration.
Your bank or payment provider may require additional authentication or decline a payment. Complete lawful verification requests through the appropriate secure payment interface, not by giving credentials to a Dreamer or support chat. We will not ask you to send your complete card number, security code or banking password by ordinary message.
If payment information changes or a method expires, take reasonable steps to keep your subscription's payment arrangements current through the available account or payment controls. Updating payment details does not itself cancel a subscription or change the obligations for a paid period. If you cannot access the relevant controls, contact hello@coheroapp.com for help before the next renewal.
Our payment partner's checkout may use its own necessary cookies for payment processing. The Cookie Policy explains the platform's use of necessary session and preference storage. Payment processing does not authorise advertising tracking by cohero or the sale of your personal data.
7. Failed payments, retries and any grace period
A renewal can fail because a payment method has expired, funds are unavailable, authentication is incomplete or the provider declines processing. A failed attempt is not proof that the subscription has been successfully renewed or that publishing access will continue. Check your membership status and resolve the payment problem promptly if you want uninterrupted eligibility to publish.
We and our payment partner may need to complete payment checks or further processing following a failure. Do not assume a failed attempt cancels your recurring authorisation, and do not create a second account to work around a billing issue. If your intention is to stop future renewals, use cancellation rather than relying on a card decline.
Any payment grace or opportunity to correct a failed renewal is limited to what is actually communicated for your subscription. These terms do not promise a fixed payment-grace period or continued feed visibility while a charge remains unpaid. If no active paid membership remains, the lapse rules below apply.
The 30-day period for account deletion is not a payment grace period. It does not give you extra paid membership time, postpone a renewal or prevent lapse after an unsuccessful payment. Treat deletion status and billing status as separate matters and check both when closing an account.
If a renewal appears both failed in the app and charged on your statement, contact hello@coheroapp.com with the transaction reference before making repeated attempts. A temporary bank authorisation may differ from a settled payment, and support may need to check the record with our payment partner. No particular retry schedule or settlement time is guaranteed by these terms.
8. How to cancel and when cancellation takes effect
You may cancel membership at any time in your profile. Cancellation stops future automatic renewals and leaves access available until the end of the paid period, subject to applicable account restrictions. It does not normally produce a refund for the unused part of the current month.
Use the membership cancellation control rather than merely signing out, hiding a dream or deleting the app from a device. Those actions do not by themselves communicate an instruction to stop recurring billing. If you cannot reach the profile or the control does not work, contact hello@coheroapp.com promptly and explain that you want to cancel.
Review the resulting membership status and keep any confirmation available to you. Contact support if you cannot tell whether cancellation completed, especially if renewal is approaching. A support request should include enough information to locate the account but must not include a password or full card details.
After cancellation, you may continue using the paid membership until that paid period ends, unless enforcement action or another lawful restriction applies. Existing gifts do not become refundable because the membership was cancelled, and milestone obligations do not end with the billing relationship. The lapse and backing rules continue to govern the dream and its existing Backers.
You may still use free Backer functions and prepare private drafts without renewing, provided your account remains eligible under the Terms of Service. If you later choose to resume paid publication, review the then-current price and subscription information. Cancellation does not reserve a discontinued price or exempt a dream from review requirements.
9. What happens to dreams when membership lapses
When membership lapses, the Dreamer's dreams are hidden from the swipe feed. This applies when a cancelled paid period ends and when membership otherwise ceases to be active. Feed hiding means the dreams are not presented there for discovery; it is not the same as deleting the dream or cancelling existing backing arrangements.
Existing Backers and chat partners can still see the dreams, and milestone reviews continue. You must therefore continue to deal responsibly with proof, updates and relevant communications even if you no longer wish to publish to new users. Lapse must not be used to evade questions from people whose money is still held against milestones.
The Backing & Gift Policy continues to govern funds already given. In particular, a Backer who does not release a milestone within 14 days after proof was submitted receives their unreleased amounts for that and later milestones back automatically, with the deducted 15% retained. Membership lapse does not pause that window or make released money refundable.
You should not assume that cancelling membership immediately returns all gifts or that renewal guarantees release of any held funds. Release remains each Backer's decision, and administrators can refund unreleased funds in the circumstances described in the Backing & Gift Policy. The subscription payment and the gift balances are different transactions.
Restoring an active membership does not override rejection, moderation or account restrictions. A dream must still satisfy the Dreamer Rules, Community Guidelines and any applicable publication review. Contact hello@coheroapp.com if a dream remains hidden and you need clarification about whether the reason is billing, review status or enforcement.
10. Refunds, billing mistakes and service concerns
Membership fees are not refundable for partial months except where required by law. Cancelling partway through a paid period therefore stops future renewal but does not ordinarily entitle you to a prorated refund. Access continues to the end of the paid period, subject to lawful restrictions and the platform rules.
Not publishing a dream, not using the account, receiving little attention or obtaining no backing does not by itself create a refund entitlement. Membership pays for access to eligible publishing functions, not for a promised funding result. Team rejection of a non-compliant dream does not convert the subscription into a success-based payment.
If you believe we charged the wrong amount, charged after effective cancellation or processed a duplicate, contact hello@coheroapp.com with the relevant transaction information. A genuine billing error is different from simply changing your mind during a paid month. We will consider the records and any legal remedy that applies rather than relying on a no-partial-month policy to disregard an error.
Where a refund is due, it will be handled through the original payment route where possible, subject to the payment partner's processing requirements. Your bank's posting time and treatment of conversion charges can affect when and how a credit appears. We do not promise a fixed arrival time or reimbursement of independent currency costs unless required by law.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer remedies for services that do not conform to applicable legal requirements. Explain any material access problem promptly so we can investigate, including relevant dates and error details. Requests for assistance, corrections or statutory remedies are not automatically rejected merely because a paid month has begun.
11. Price changes and notice
Membership prices may change with advance notice. We will notify you of a material price change through the app or by email before it takes effect, explaining the changed price and its application to renewal. Where applicable law requires additional notice, consent or a particular cancellation opportunity, those requirements will be respected.
Review a price-change notice against the currency and renewal schedule for your own membership. A change to one currency's price does not mean that every currency must change by the same exchange-rate amount. Fixed currency pricing is distinct from the conversion your financial institution may perform on a charge.
If you do not want to continue at the changed price, cancel in your profile before the affected renewal is processed. Cancellation preserves access through the end of the paid period under the normal rules. It does not require you to give up free Backer use or private draft preparation.
We will not use a policy update to take away a refund or consumer right that cannot lawfully be removed. Continued use after notified changes take effect signifies acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law, but any legally required express consent remains necessary. Contact hello@coheroapp.com if you believe a charge applied a new price without the required notice.
12. Taxes, receipts and invoices
You are responsible for reviewing the tax information presented for your membership purchase and providing accurate billing details. Applicable taxes are handled as required by law and disclosed through the payment process. Do not assume that a price shown in a different context determines whether tax must be charged for your circumstances.
Keep payment confirmations and available receipts for your records. If you need an invoice, a copy of a receipt or clarification of a billing entry, contact hello@coheroapp.com and identify the account and transaction concerned. Supply only the information needed to locate the record and issue any document that can lawfully be provided.
A membership receipt records payment for platform membership; it is not evidence of a backing, a charitable donation or a successful dream. The tax treatment of your gifts received as a Dreamer is separate from the tax treatment of membership fees. Dreamers remain responsible for their own taxes on gifts received.
We do not provide personalised tax advice or promise that membership expenses are deductible in your jurisdiction. Seek independent advice if you need to determine business-expense treatment, reporting duties or other tax consequences. Any legally required tax or accounting records will be handled consistently with the Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements.
13. Account deletion and membership billing
You may request account deletion from your profile. A 30-day grace period follows, during which signing in and choosing keep my account cancels deletion. This account-recovery period is separate from the subscription's paid period, cancellation and renewal schedule.
Do not rely solely on an account-deletion request as your method for stopping future subscription charges. Cancel membership in your profile before requesting deletion and check the cancellation status; if access or controls are unavailable, contact hello@coheroapp.com for help. These terms do not promise that a pending deletion request replaces the recurring-payment cancellation process.
Choosing to keep the account during the deletion grace period cancels deletion, not a membership cancellation that you separately completed. Likewise, cancelling membership does not cancel a pending deletion request. Check both statuses if you change your mind about closing the account or continuing to publish.
After 30 days, the account and personal data are deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. Records that must be kept, including payment, backing and refund records and messages sent to others, are retained only in a form that no longer identifies the person, and as required by law, including accounting and fraud-prevention requirements. Deletion does not require erasing records that lawfully must be retained.
Account deletion does not undo gifts, make released funds refundable or create a partial-month membership refund. Resolve outstanding billing questions and understand the effect on access before closing the account. If a charge or mandatory legal claim requires later investigation, contact hello@coheroapp.com with the transaction records you retained.
14. Suspension, restrictions and review requests
We may reject, hide or remove dreams and restrict or suspend accounts for breaches of the Terms of Service, Dreamer Rules, Community Guidelines or Trust & Safety requirements. Payment of membership does not buy immunity from moderation or a right to publish unsafe, deceptive or unlawful content. We may also investigate suspected payment misuse or unauthorised account activity.
An enforcement restriction is distinct from the ordinary feed hiding caused by a lapsed subscription. If your membership is active but publication is restricted, buying another membership or creating another account does not cure the underlying issue. Use the available reporting or support route to ask for clarification instead of evading the restriction.
Suspension does not by itself create a right to a partial-month refund, subject to mandatory law and the specific circumstances of the restriction. Nor should you assume that loss of publication access has cancelled recurring billing. If you want to stop renewal and cannot reach your profile, contact hello@coheroapp.com and clearly state your cancellation request.
You may ask us to review an enforcement or billing decision and provide relevant supporting information. Include the account or dream reference, the decision you question and any facts that may have been overlooked. A review request does not guarantee restoration, waive compliance requirements or automatically extend a paid period.
Where payment or safety issues affect existing Backers, the separate milestone handling and administrative refund rules remain relevant. We do not treat subscription fees as a substitute for proof or as security for the Dreamer's obligations. Released funds, held funds and membership charges must be considered under their respective policies.
15. Consumer withdrawal rights and mandatory protections
Depending on where you live and the circumstances of your purchase, consumer law may give you a right to withdraw from a distance contract or receive other mandatory remedies. Any applicable withdrawal period, conditions and exceptions are determined by that law, not by the ordinary no-partial-month-refund rule alone. Nothing in these terms excludes a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
If you request that membership service begin during a statutory withdrawal period, applicable law may require particular information or express consent. Where legally permitted, use of service during that period may affect the amount refundable or create an obligation to pay a proportionate amount for service already supplied. Starting service does not automatically remove every withdrawal right, and we will not treat generic acceptance as a waiver where specific legal steps are required.
To exercise a withdrawal or another statutory billing right, contact hello@coheroapp.com with a clear statement of your request and enough information to identify the subscription. You do not have to describe the request as an ordinary cancellation if you are asserting a legal right to withdraw. We will consider the applicable law and any information needed to determine the remedy.
Routine cancellation remains available in your profile whether or not a statutory withdrawal right applies. Where a legal right requires a refund, reduction, cancellation or another remedy, these terms will be applied consistently with it. Your payment provider may also offer dispute procedures, and you should not make knowingly false claims or seek duplicate recovery for the same transaction.
16. Contact, policy updates and governing terms
Contact hello@coheroapp.com for membership, renewal, cancellation, payment failure, receipts, refunds or consumer-rights questions. Describe the issue, identify the relevant account or transaction and state what assistance you need. Do not include passwords, full card numbers, card security codes or unnecessary information about other users.
We may update these terms and notify you of material changes in the app or by email in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance, subject to applicable law and any separate consent requirements. A change notice does not replace a specific price-change notice where one is required.
Read these terms together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Backing & Gift Policy and Dreamer Rules. The English version prevails if translated versions conflict, without limiting mandatory consumer protections. If you need help using billing controls because of an access barrier, consult the Accessibility Statement and contact hello@coheroapp.com.
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which Fenkil Technologies LTD is registered, and disputes are subject to the courts of that country. Mandatory consumer protection rights of your home country are preserved, including non-excludable rights concerning remedies and jurisdiction. Nothing in this policy requires you to give up protections that applicable law requires us to respect.
