Milestone plan for a medical treatment dream in Nanjing

Milestones keep money and progress together. Backers fund the whole medical treatment dream, but money is released one milestone at a time, only after you show proof.

Medical treatment costs can arrive in stages, from initial appointments to follow-up visits. Build a funding plan around documented expenses while keeping diagnoses and personal records private.

Example milestone plan

An example plan for a medical treatment dream with a goal of CN¥200,000. Backers fund the whole goal, but each milestone's money stays held until you post the proof and Backers release it.

  1. Milestone 1

    CN¥20,000 · 10%

    Document the care budget

Post a provider estimate and receipts for initial appointments, with names, contact details and clinical information hidden.

  2. Milestone 2

    CN¥90,000 · 45%

    Cover the main treatment

Share redacted provider invoices and payment receipts for the main treatment stage, showing the funded expense categories.

  3. Milestone 3

    CN¥60,000 · 30%

    Fund continuing care

Upload receipts for planned follow-up care, related supplies and necessary travel, with personal and medical details hidden.

  4. Milestone 4

    CN¥30,000 · 15%

    Reconcile remaining expenses

Post a redacted final expense summary and receipts for the remaining follow-up visits, supplies or treatment-related journeys.

  1. 01

    Make every step provable

A milestone only works if a Backer can look at your proof and agree it is done. 'Buy equipment' is weak; 'equipment bought, receipt and photo posted' is strong.

  2. 02

    Order by risk

Put the cheapest, fastest step first. Each released milestone proves you deliver and funds the next. Leave the biggest amount for the step where most of the work is already done.

  3. 03

    Keep the amounts honest

Milestones must add up exactly to your goal. Price each step from real quotes, include tools and services, and split any step that is too big to prove in one go.

Risks to plan for

  • R1

    Care plans can change

The provider’s plan may change after an appointment, altering costs or timing. Use expense-based milestones and explain how revised estimates will be shared without revealing clinical details.

  • R2

    Invoices arrive unevenly

Large treatment bills may fall due before a milestone can be reviewed. Map invoice dates before publishing and explain how payments will be covered while release decisions are pending.

  • R3

    Travel adds hidden costs

Repeated appointments can add journeys, overnight stays or support costs. Include these in the initial estimate and keep receipts grouped by the treatment stage they relate to.

How Backers are protected

14-day review per milestone

When proof is posted, each Backer has 14 days to release their share or ask for more. Money not released in time goes back to the Backer.

15% fee, deducted — never added

Backers pay exactly what they choose. The 15% fee comes out of each backing: CN¥1,000 gives the Dreamer CN¥850. The fee is kept if money is returned.

Gifts, not shares

Backings are gifts. No shares, equity, interest or repayment, and Dreamers keep full ownership. Nothing on cohero is an investment or a loan.

Questions and answers

What if my treatment plan changes after people back it?

Post an update explaining the changed expenses and timing without sharing private clinical records. Provide a revised estimate for the affected milestone so Backers can assess its proof against the current spending plan.

How many milestones should a medical treatment dream have?

Three to six works for most dreams. Fewer gives Backers little to review; more than seven makes each step feel small. The example plan on this page uses four.

Do I have to publish my diagnosis to explain the goal?

You can explain the expenses and stages without publishing a diagnosis or full medical history. Use provider estimates and receipts with personal details hidden, keeping only the information needed to understand the funded costs.
