Milestone plan for a dental care dream in Munich

Milestones keep money and progress together. Backers fund the whole dental care dream, but money is released one milestone at a time, only after you show proof.

Dental care can involve an examination, a main procedure and later fitting or review visits. Match funding to the written treatment estimate and keep patient records out of public proof.

Example milestone plan

An example plan for a dental care dream with a goal of €6,700. Backers fund the whole goal, but each milestone's money stays held until you post the proof and Backers release it.

  1. Milestone 1

    €1,005 · 15%

    Confirm the dental estimate

Post a redacted examination receipt and itemised provider estimate showing the dental work included in the funding goal.

  2. Milestone 2

    €3,015 · 45%

    Complete the main procedure

Share paid invoices for the main dental procedure and related charges, with patient identifiers and clinical notes hidden.

  3. Milestone 3

    €1,675 · 25%

    Attend fitting and adjustments

Upload redacted receipts for planned fitting or adjustment appointments and any separately billed laboratory work.

  4. Milestone 4

    €1,005 · 15%

    Finish planned review visits

Post final review receipts and a redacted expense summary comparing the completed funded stages with the original estimate.

  1. 01

    Make every step provable

A milestone only works if a Backer can look at your proof and agree it is done. 'Buy equipment' is weak; 'equipment bought, receipt and photo posted' is strong.

  2. 02

    Order by risk

Put the cheapest, fastest step first. Each released milestone proves you deliver and funds the next. Leave the biggest amount for the step where most of the work is already done.

  3. 03

    Keep the amounts honest

Milestones must add up exactly to your goal. Price each step from real quotes, include tools and services, and split any step that is too big to prove in one go.

Risks to plan for

  • R1

    Examination changes the scope

An examination may identify work missing from an early estimate. Use the first milestone to confirm an itemised scope and explain any budget revision before the main procedure stage.

  • R2

    Laboratory work needs time

A custom dental item may need laboratory work and later adjustments. Keep that spending separate from the main procedure and allow a flexible window for the fitting milestone.

  • R3

    Extra visits increase travel

A fitting or procedure may require more return visits than first expected. Estimate travel separately and state which review journeys are included rather than implying unlimited follow-up.

How Backers are protected

14-day review per milestone

When proof is posted, each Backer has 14 days to release their share or ask for more. Money not released in time goes back to the Backer.

15% fee, deducted — never added

Backers pay exactly what they choose. The 15% fee comes out of each backing: €100 gives the Dreamer €85. The fee is kept if money is returned.

Gifts, not shares

Backings are gifts. No shares, equity, interest or repayment, and Dreamers keep full ownership. Nothing on cohero is an investment or a loan.

Questions and answers

Do I need to post photographs of my teeth?

Use itemised estimates, paid invoices and appointment confirmations with personal details hidden instead. Photographs are not necessary to explain dental spending, and your proof plan can keep treatment images and clinical records private.

What if the dentist changes the estimate after examination?

Share a redacted revised estimate and describe which funded stages or cost lines change. Keep the explanation about scope, timing and expenses rather than private clinical details, so Backers can review the updated spending plan.

How many milestones should a dental care dream have?

Three to six works for most dreams. Fewer gives Backers little to review; more than seven makes each step feel small. The example plan on this page uses four.
